Indemnity & Disclaimer

  1. It is an express condition of entering onto or residing at Rondeberg Resort that all Guests/Visitors will be bound by this indemnity. The person booking Rondeberg Resort agrees to inform all Guests/Visitors in his/her party of the contents hereof and all such persons will be considered bound by the provisions contained herein.
  2. All Guests/Visitors entering onto or residing at the property do so entirely at their own risk. Right of Admission is reserved.
  3. Rondeberg Resort does not express or imply any warranties or guarantees with respect to the property’s services and facilities other than what is contained in the agreement between the parties.
  4. The Guests/Visitors are not relying on any representation, guarantee or statement other than as set forth in the Terms and Conditions or by another written agreement between the parties. By signing this General Indemnity and Disclaimer, the Guests/Visitors acknowledge that he/she understands and agrees to the Terms and Conditions and the Code of Conduct.
  5. Rondeberg Resort, its owners, employees, agents, or contractors will not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to any personal belongings, including but not limited to cash, jewelry, electronic equipment, camping equipment, sporting and recreational equipment or motor vehicles, however caused, during your stay at Rondeberg Resort.
  6. All Guests/Visitors—and especially those with children—must take specific note of the following, as Rondeberg Resort, its owners, employees, agents and contractors shall not be held liable for loss of life, bodily injury, or damage to or loss of property as a result of any activity and/or so-called “Act of God.”
  7. Rondeberg Resort is located on the Bulshoek Dam and there are no lifeguards on duty. Entering into the dam will be at the sole risk of Guests/Visitors. Children must be under responsible adult supervision at all times. The same applies to the swimming pool.
  8. All Guests/Visitors make use of all facilities at their own risk, including kayaks, pedal boats, hot tubs, hiking trails and the barge. Children must be under responsible adult supervision at all times. Any damages to property or amenities will be at the expense of the Guest/Visitor.
  9. Guests/Visitors must familiarise themselves with the boat rules when boating or using the barge.
  10. I hereby confirm that I have read and understand the Rondeberg POPI-Disclaimer (available on our website and in the office).
  11. I, as well as my party, undertake to honour the Code of Conduct.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. Speed Limit
    • Please adhere to a speed limit of 15 km/h at all times.
    • Only guests with valid driver’s licenses may drive a vehicle.
  2. Boat Trailers
    • Boat trailers must be parked in the demarcated area(s).
    • Please do NOT leave your vehicle or trailer at the launching area.
  3. Pets
    • We are pet friendly by prior arrangement only. Familiarise yourself with our pet policy and rules on the website.
    • Kindly do NOT feed the cats.
  4. Fauna & Flora

    Please do not disturb the natural environment.

  5. Children
    • Children must be supervised on the playground, at the swimming pool and at the dam. (No lifeguards on duty.)
    • Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult when using the general ablution facilities.
  6. Number of Guests per Unit

    a) Self-Catering: Determined by how many people the unit can sleep.

    b) Camping: Maximum of 6 persons above 4 years per site.

  7. Damage or Breakage Fee & Inventory
    • Familiarise yourself with the inventory list upon arrival. Report any shortages or faults immediately.
    • Replacement costs for missing, damaged, soiled or vandalised property will be charged to your account.
    • Please do NOT remove any items from the self-catering units (e.g., furniture, blankets or scatters).
  8. Arrival & Checkout
    • Arrival: 14:00–18:00. Late arrival must be arranged with Reservations.
    • Checkout: 11:00. Late checkout can be arranged with Reservations (T&C apply).
    • If you depart before the arranged date, no credit, discount or refund will be granted.
  9. General
    • Pitching of Tents / Camping / Caravanning: Only in designated areas.
    • No Smoking: Strictly forbidden in all units.
    • Valuables: Ensure all valuables are locked away at all times.
    • Fires / Fireworks: Fires only in designated braai areas. NO fireworks.
    • Swimming Pool: No alcohol, beer, glasses or glassware in or around the pool. Suitable swimwear required. Adhere to posted pool rules.
    • Litter: Use waste bins. Do not litter.
    • Help Save Our Planet: Use water and electricity sparingly. Switch off lights and air-conditioners when leaving units or on departure.
    • Kol-Kol Hot Tubs: Only for residents of allocated units. Follow posted instructions.
    • Bath Towels: Supplied by Rondeberg Resort. Do not use outside the units. Bring your own beach towels.
  10. Silence
    • Absolute silence from 22:00.
    • Respect your fellow guests. Loud, unruly or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  11. Non-Motorised Water Sport

    Stay within 10 metres of the dam edge when using kayaks, canoes, SUPs, pedal boats, etc.

  12. Non-Adherence
    • First verbal warning; management may evict contravening parties and affiliated companies without refund.
    • Right of admission reserved. Management decisions are final.
